Freight forwarding

Freight forwarding is the work that happens before cargo reaches Mombasa, and after it leaves. For a shipment coming in, we arrange the booking with a carrier, prepare the shipping documents and keep you informed as the cargo moves. For exports, the same in the other direction.

We work with partner carriers and a global forwarding network, so the mode is chosen to suit the cargo: sea freight as full container loads or as part loads consolidated with other shipments, air freight when time matters more than cost, and road freight for cargo moving by truck across the region.

Because we also clear cargo, the documents prepared at the origin end are the ones used at customs on arrival, which cuts the chance of a mismatch. High-value consignments get the extra attention they need. If you tell us what you are shipping, where it starts and where it must end up, we will recommend a route and come back with a quote. We can also advise on the documents the carrier and the destination will ask for, so the shipment is not held up for want of a certificate.
